Potty home invasion!
For the 3 days you would be removing to teach your child how to use the potty you will have to get your home prepared. One important decision you would have to make is where would you like to potty train your child, would it be a particular room, where you could shut the doors, have them safely behind a baby gate or are you comfortable with them roaming around the house. Once you have made this decision you need to get all your potty learning supplies in place like
Cleaning equipment: Spray bottles, cleaning towels, toilet paper, etc
Potty training toilet
Potty refill bags
Easy travel and removable potty seats
Potty chair
Potty training toys
If you are comfortable with them roaming around the house then you can cover up your coaches, rugs, etc so you don't have to worry about cleaning them up.
Most importantly you need a toddler potty. When you are teaching your child how to use the potty make sure the potty is conveniently placed on the ground not only for you, but also for your child as they need to feel comfortable getting on and off the potty to be able to use it. When you start teaching them to use the potty initially you will just have a few seconds before they pee or poop, but once they get used to the process and are able to hold their pee or poop for longer till they reach the potty you can transition them to a full size toilet.
Make sure you keep the potty training toy basket next to their potty, this will keep them engaged while they are poop. You can load up on any number of toys and teaching material to keep your lil one busy while they focus on pooping. Avoid handing your kid any tablets or devices to distract them while they are pooping, this will make them less focused on learning the new skill and they will stop paying attention to understanding how their body works. Kids today are very smart, if you decide to start handing them a device to watch something they like every time they poop, they will want to use the potty more frequently than need just to be able to get more time on the device.
Stock up on liquids and snacks for you and your child. We would suggest you keep your child properly hydrated so they need to pee frequently and this will teach them to start associating going to the potty when they feel the urge to pee. Some hydration liquids you can consider are water, juice, milk, popsicles and fruits.
