Milestones: 5 years old

Emotional and Social Milestones

  • Follows rules and instructions that you give them

  • They will love to sing, dance, and play pretend with you or act.

  • You have a little helper with you now, you can give them simple chores like putting their clothes in their place.

Communication and Language Milestone

  • Should be able to tell your short stories

  • You can ask them questions after you have just read a story to them.

  • Your little one is going to be more talkative now and will be able to hold a conversation.

Cognitive Milestones (learning, thinking, problem-solving)

  • Should be able to count up to 10

  • Should be able to tell you if it’s day and night or today and tomorrow

  • You should be able to hold their attention for about 5 -10 mins at a stretch

  • Should be able to write alphabets, mostly their name. Yeah, they can be self-obsessed.

Movement/Physical Development Milestones

  • Can hop on one foot, skip and jump.

  • Will be able to button and unbutton by themselves
