At 15 months, your infant will be able to start doing quite a few activities and also use their words and actions to express themselves. Here are some signs or developmental milestones your child should be able to achieve

Emotional and Social Milestones

  • Your infant will start copying other children around them.

  • Your infant will start pointing at things that they like 

  • They will start showing that they are excited by clapping their hands

  • Hugs things that they like, maybe their favorite pillow or soft toy

  • Will start showering you with love by giving you hugs, kisses, and cuddling with you.

Communication and Language Milestone

  • Your infant will start trying to say one or two words besides “mama” “papa” like “Spoo” for their spoon or Da” or dog”

  • Your infant will start looking at an object when you name it since they are able to recognize the object

  • Will start pointing at objects or things which they might need your help to use.

  • Follows simple directions that you give them like “can you please give me your spoon ”

Cognitive Milestones (learning, thinking, problem-solving)

  • Start using objects and things in the correct manner, eg: sippy water from the sippy cup, flipping a book, etc

  • Learns how to stack things up

  • Starts putting things back where they belong

Movement/Physical Development Milestones

  • Is able to stand and walk a few feet by themselves

  • Starts using all fingers to feed themselves. 

  • Able to hold a spoon and eat themselves
